new cpu help

i am looking to buy a new but relatively cheap CPU for gaming because my current CPU (i7-2600) is bottle necking the rest of my PC and i am getting poor performance. does anybody got any ideas on what to buy? (i font know much about PC hardware)

budget? Your gonna need a new board + mobo as well

 

Id probalby get a r5 2600.

not trying to judge you, but whats the other specs that make you feel cpu being bottlenecked?

only some very demanding titles will be slow down.

 

ideally wait for ryzen 3000/ zen 2 cpu ~$200
