NVIDIA K2000M DRIVER REFUSED TO INSTALL

The graphics card in my Dell precision M4700 all of a sudden stopped working when you check in the device manager won't apart from what you will see in the attached image below. I've tried to install a new driver to see if that solves the problem but to no avail.

Please I will appreciate help so much.

Its either an AMD GPU or an Optimus meaning you cannot use the normal drivers from Nvdia.

You will need to go to the manufacturer site and download the drivers there: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/precision-m4700/drivers?lwp=rt

the M4700's came with FirePro (M4000) and Quadro (K1000M/2000M) options.

Dell does have downloads for both series as recent as February of this year, however. Double check that you have a K200M and give that a shot.

For it to randomly (no precipitating factors that could corrupt your drivers) stop working like that, though, I'm more concerned that it's a hardware issue.

At this point, my primary concern is that the GPU has rendered it's last frame, given that device manager isn't detecting it, I suspect that the Nvidia installer isn't either, and that may well explain why the install is failing.
