Noctua NH-D15 - Will this Fit in my System?

potatobuilder

Planning to buy Noctua NH-D15, it's pretty big and I'm not sure if it will fit in my case and will not conflict with my ram height.

Case - Trendsonic Styx ATX

Ram - Gskill Trident F3-2400C10D-16GTX

Mobo - GA-Z97X-UD3H

Appears to be too tall.

Take a look at the NH-U12A instead.

Its a smaller and just as good cooler.

I think it's a new model, I'm not sure if it is already in my country's market.

I just saw this topic on other forums.

https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/will-noctua-nh-d15-fit-in-trendsonic-styx-case.3304911/

is this a good cooler Cryorig H7 and what's the cheapest good AIO I can get?

BTW I have an i7 4790k as my processor that reached 100 degree (intel stock cooler) before and after I replace the cooler with gammaxx 400 it's now at idle 40 °C and max at 80 to 90 °C. (I posted a topic about this few weeks ago)

there are no cheap good AIOs.

that things fine, nothing earthshattering.

bequiet Dark rock 4 should fit just fine. There is also the Bequet Dark Rock TF which is low profile.

and as said in that other thread, the nh-d14 will fit just barely.

a good aircooler is better than a cheap AIO. you usually have to go up into the 120-150$ range to get a worthwhile AIO.

aircoolers are also more reliable and do not have pump hum.

Thanks for this info.. I'll just stick with aircoolers.

I'll try if I can get one of these air coolers.

Cryorig H7

bequiet Dark rock 4

NH-U12A

Thank you bro!

H7 isn't upgrade to Gammaxx 400. Not worth of upgrade atleast. What are your voltages? Devils Canyon was first Intel series with voltages issues, and thats been a thing since then.

Your RAM is too tall for D15. It will fit only if you take of heatspreaders from RAM.

You should try to use adaptive or manual voltage instead. For stock clocks 1.1-1.15V is enough. Now it might go to 1.29V+ under load. Which is what average OC would be needing.
