Go to solution Solved by Mister Woof,

If you sold your stuff

I5-7600k ~$125  (hard sell on there 4/4s these days)

B250m? $40? (No OC, low resale)

H7 ~$30

So ~$200-250?

+ $175

Between $375 and $425?

2700x is ~$300; B450 Mortar ~$100?

I'd say its fair

oh great, thanks for the answer. I really appreciate it.  I'm not really that familiar with the market now

You could just compare the price with new and used from your local. But with the cooler it's a bit too much, but for a 7 2700X that could cost 175 alone if I'm not wrong it's totally worth it.

If he can get $225 for his old stuff and apply the extra $175 that's about what you'd pay for a new 2700x and an equiv Mobo.

I don't think it's some kind of bargain, but it's not a loss.

The biggest benefit would be not having to deal with unloading that 7600k in today's market.

Anyway guys, I'm planning to build a second setup this year. Should I just wait for ryzen 3000 or proceed with the swap? which would be better?
