Is your PC doing what you need and want it to do?

 

Without any parameters or use cases, we have no idea.  If it's to watch YouTube, no you're fine for decades to come.  :)

another decade and we'll see content in 8k being the norm.

and i might still used my 1080p monitors, if they survived.

Assuming gaming, the i5 6500 is still okay. Your GPU is what's mostly holding you back. A move to something like a 1660 Ti would be of benefit to you. This is what performance would look like if you made that change (note that the 1070 in this video is equivalent to the 1660 Ti):
