Windows cannot reactivate after hardware changed

I've tried to troubleshoot the activation but it says it cannot find a Windows 10 Professional key where I know I have it as I use my old key to upgrade to a Pro key through the windows store.

Did you change the motherboard? That'd be why. Microsoft has been tying the product key to the motherboard for some time now. If you change it out windows deactivates itself claiming it's a "new computer". Their idea of preventing piracy.

You can try with Windows support. Though if you have cheap OEM key, they may not help.
