How Do I Disable Media Controls For YouTube

Hello!

I have always been used to using my media keys to control my music playing through spotify. Recently however I think youtube has enabled media keys on their youtube videos and for some reason my computer defaults to using the media keys on my keyboard for youtube, even if I have spotify as my active window.

Is there a way to outright disable the use of media keys for youtube or another work around?

I don't think so, but if a player is running i think it will prioritize on it.

The problem I am having is that it is not prioritizing it. Here is a little video I made that may show it better, I pressed play on spotify making it the active window then I used my play/pause media key on my k70, even though chrome is not the active window it still prioritizes chrome, pausing and playing the youtube video.
