Custom build pc not working

Hi, this is my first thread here and i'm asking for my friend. He has this pc that we build but when we tried to start it, nothing happen. Only a light in mobo keeps blinking. We thought his psu is broken, but apparently that's not the issue.

I have this video of what happen when we start(im using evga 600br 80+ psu in the vid)

His build is:

Ryzen 5 2600

MSI Radeon rx570 8gb OC

Aorus b450 pro wifi

Corsair 2×8gb 2667mhz

Thermalake Smart rgb 750 watts(this is not the psu I used in the video)

Seagate Barracuda 2tb

I hope we find out whats wrong. Thank you

The problem is either in the PSU or the MOBO. Did you unplug all cables and reconnect?

double check that all cables are connected, try reseating the gpu, reseating the memory.

One time when i built a friends pc i had a similar spinup before the system stopped, for whatever reason reseating the gpu fixed it

As Derrk suggested reseating Ram and GPU could fix the issue, if those don't work it wouldn't hurt to reseat the CPU, a very common issue with Ryzen installs is bent pins or improper CPU installation.

I've dealt with this exact issue before out of the the two, one was bent CPU pins and the other was a dead motherboard.

Another possible fix is to reseat the whole motherboard as it may be getting shorted out by something (a screw possibly)

Current Desktop Build | 2200G | RX 580 4GB | 8GB RAM | CTRL | Logitech G Pro Wireless

Laptop | 2018 MBA 256/16GB | MX Master

Thank you for your answers. We tried unplugging all wires and we've also reseat the ram and gpu but all of those didn't work. What we didnt do is try checking out the cpu. We're kinda scared because we arent the ones who place the cpu in the mobo. His parts are also fairly new. Most of them is like less than a month old except for the gpu which I think already ~2 months old so we think we'll just bring it back to Memory Express though we dont know if they are going to fix it or replace it immediately since he dont have those store warranties.

Thank you again ! Atleast now we have a rough idea of what is wrong.

^ This.

The PCI-E 8-pin power connector that goes to the GPU is not connected.

i would try booting with only one stick of ram. try each dimm in each slot one at a time

like @zlolslavez said, there could be something shorting the motherboard. Check for loose screws, or if there's and extra standoff making contact with the back of the board

Ran into a similar issue troubleshooting my friend's PC last night.

Tried different RAM sticks and slots, different PSU, different GPU, clearing CMOS, etc.

It was a bent CPU socket pin right on the edge -- Intel platform.

Fingers crossed and bent the tiny pin back, praying to ALL the gods it would not break off...re-installed CPU and it's alive.

Since you mentioned the CPU was installed by the staff(s) at Memory Express, I would bring it back to them for some troubleshooting.

At least they would have extra parts lying around to try out.
