Good gpu for i7-8086K

What is a good gpu for an i7-8086K? I was thinking of a 1660 ti or is that a bottleneck?

How much DDR4 RAM do you suggest?

literally any GPU will be good with it...please don't talk abut bottlenecks it's basically the last gen flagship...

for gaming the minimum RAM suggested is 8GB but the recommended is 16GB

For gaming, 16GB.(Always minimum 2 sticks to take advantage of dual channel memory, so either 2 sticks of 8GB or 4 sticks of 4GB). 8GB could work depending on the game and if you're on a tight budget but for high-end gaming(anything above 1080p for example) 16GB is strongly recommended.

Every single CPU and GPU combo will bottleneck no matter what. What matters is the extent to which it does. If you are simply gaming at 1080p on CS:GO(which is a very CPU-intensive game, meaning it stresses the CPU more than GPU), at low settings, then a 1660ti and a i7-8086K would do just fine. If you're playing at 4K Ultra on a modern AAA title with that combo though, you'd notice problems right away because your GPU isn't powerful enough to push decent FPS at 4K.

Basically, it all depends on what games you play, what resolution/refresh rate and ultimately what FPS you want to get.

Ok thanks! Will a 550 Watt power supply be enough to handle that combination?

Most system will be enough.

Unless you're running a SLI/Crossfire dual GPU setup, I'd be amazed if 550W isn't enough

My i7 8086k with a RTX 2080 ti does not bottleneck even at 1080p with a 130% power target.

With a lesser card you will get a GPU bottleneck. It depends on your monitor choice whether you see it or not.

What monitor are you using, what resolution?

That's what you should base your GPU purchase on.  As said above, the 8086K is a powerhouse still.

Have a look at my set up in my signature. It's built to run GTA style games and a bit of media work 1080p @ 165Hz. It runs the 8086K and is a bit overkill for gaming but gives you an idea what you can throw at a 8086K, which is overclocked to 4.9.
