A few months ago, my hard drive died, I got a new one, reinstalled my programs and went on with my day.

Today, I opened Resolve, imported a file and tried to edit it. When I clicked play, the video played, but it was jumping very badly, like when Linux tried to play full compression 8K video in the recent video.

I rendered it out to see if that would fix the problem, but it was just the same result when I played the rendered file.

I can upload the rendered file to YouTube if you would like to see what I mean.

What are these for?

The strange thing it it had been fine when I have used the software in the past.

What res footage are you working with and in what format? Some are more system intensive then others. You should also open task manager and see if resolve is using your GPU more then 10%.

Also change your preview scale down and see if that helps. Even if the footage is rendered and you put it back in resolve it will still run slower then playing the footage in VLC or windows movie player.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

mp4, 1080p30. I was watching the rendered footage in the win10 video player. tried reducing the preview scale to 720p. GPU not going thery high in usage.
