New 2080 or used 2080ti?

I was going to buy a new 2080 but I saw that I could buy a used 2080ti for around $800.

Is it worth it to go with a used card or be safe and stick with a new one?

800$ for a used 2080ti is a heck of a deal IMO. If you're good with the seller, I would jump all over that.

one guy did mention the warranty but I think it was a little more like $900 might be worth it still

Used 1080ti for $500

 

But what's your monitor resolution/refresh rate, and CPU?

a 2080ti is overkill but id rather just do a big upgrade now while I have the money and not have to worry about upgrading it for a while.

That's fairly pointless IMO, you could upgrade to a 1080ti with a 1440p 144hz IPS display for nearly the same money

Then I'd just wait until you can upgrade both at the same time, the 2080ti price might go down by then as well.

do you think my powersupply would even be able to handle the 2080ti its only 650w or would I need more? I tried a few powersupply calculators some said I would be ok some said I needed 750- 850

It doesn't use more than 200-300W at most, it's fine

I'd still just avoid buying one though until prices are reasonable, or 1080tis are cheap
