i5 9600K Temps

Hello, I just built my first gaming PC and I noticed that my i5 9600K runs really hot. Idle not doing anything its around 73 degrees Fahrenheit and when I play a game it hovers around 100 -109 degrees Fahrenheit. I also just put on a Thermaltake Contac Silent 12 CPU Cooler hoping it would help and it appears it does not? Are these temps normal?

If those temps are actually F and not C, it's more than fine.

Prob. better to change it back to C. Most people refer to temps in C for computers, even in 'murica.

73f = ~23c. temps vary based on ambient but 23c is on the low end. for me, idle is around 35c in ambient of 25c.

109f = ~43c. During gaming, that's really low. Anything under 80 during gaming is fine, and under 90 during stress tests is fine. Your chip will throttle around 100 or so before anything bad happens. But don't hang that high if you can avoid it.

OK thank you, just was worried it was getting way to hot. Thank you. I'll change it back to C.
