So im looking at this d5 pump top with plexi. How do i know which one is the inlet and which is the outlet. I want to have my res connect to it first and then push the liquid to the gpu. Here is the link.

The center is the inlet and and side port/top corner is outlet on that unit. Also that is not an official D5 spec per say as the Bykski versions use a plastic impeller housing and not the standard stainless steel, spec wise on paper it is the same.

Does this make it less reliable? So the one in the center is the inlet and the two on the outer part of the plexi is outlet?

It is hard to say unless someone has done a direct comparison of the internal components by ripping the two pumps apart, one that is will be relevant is the D5 pump is actively cooled by coupling the power components and winding to the stainless housing. This unit being plastic will not have that capability so if it holds to the specs that it's stating then it may get quite warm.

If it's the SPC-60 pump it's a very entry level pump, the minimum recommendation I would really suggest to most is usually a lower wattage DDC unit over anything else as the pump is the most vital part of your loop.

So what would be a d5 pump you recommend? I was going to get the res from bykski because i like the design. But i also want a good pump. Im thinking im not getting near enough flow in my loop having a gpu block , cpu block, 45mm thick 360 rad and a slim 240 rad

A single D5 or DDC would be capable of all of that easily, I have a very Siliunas setup and run a D5 vario at it’s lowest setting for silence.

As for a good D5 option EKWB’s, Alphacool and swiftech all have good quality variants of the D5. If you would like software control of the pump via the motherboard then you will want to look for one that has PWM control.

So you do not suggest the pump i was looking at?

Due to not having enough information about that Bykski D5 and just by going off the specs it is good but I can't say for sure if it will be reliable long term. The SPC pump is good for the price but not something I personally recommend due to the higher noise level and lower capabilities next to a DDC.
