Solved by Crunchy Dragon,
I would recommend you go for the DevOp position.
There's no shortage of programmers and developers, but companies sometimes struggle to find DevOps. They basically maintain the infrastructure used by aforementioned devs and programmers, I'm told they're worth their weight in gold to a lot of companies.
For that, you'd probably want some of the Cisco networking certs, maybe one or two VMWare certs, be able to script in Python and PowerShell, and maybe some networking certs. Wouldn't be a terrible idea to get your CompTIA A+ either.
If you're just getting started, there's nothing wrong with just going for like a helpdesk position and working your way up the power chain.
