Help Me Confirming The Best Fit

Hi guys..

I have difficult choices in planning my new build.

Here they are,

Case: Cougar QBX

Motherboard: ASRock Z390 PG-ITX/ac

RAM: Any low profile ones

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-C14S, or NH-U9S, or Dark Rock Top Flow

My CPU is outputting around 115W under load with 1.34v if this matter.

The confusion is, which will give me the best fit with the highest cooling performance output from possible combination of those components without any radical modding (cutting/demelling)

My main concern are the CPU socket relative position/coordinate of the motherboard to any parts of the case which can possibly interfere with CPU cooler later. I can't find the distance of the socket position to each edge or mounting holes of the board to figure out which cooler is the best for it (especially the NH-C14S)

The NH-C14S might be the best performer but tricky fit by unknowing the exact relative position of the CPU socket.

The DRTF might be the one which offers the best fit vs performance without major headache, BUT, the mounting hardware is a nightmare to work with.

The NH-U9S offers the best full compatibility with decent cooling performance. Unsure if I will able to use side case fan, and if not, it might get hotter than what I'm expecting.

Based on ASRock Z390 PG-ITX/ac CPU socket position and those coolers inside QBX. Could you please give me some confirmations about which combo will output the best? Please explain the reason why..

Your knowledge will give me a huge impact of how to plan a good mini build properly, and I really really appreciate.

Thankyou..

Best fit and cooling would be a Nh-D12A.

also id not suggest planning or upgrading when Zen 2 is righ taround the corner

I don't know what a NH-D12A is.

Your case will only take a 105mm cooler. The L9 x 65 is only 84 TDP. The L9A is only 95 TDP.

The Dark Rock TF is too tall at 131mm.

Can you get the Cryorig C1 which is rated for 140 TDP? It seems to be your best bet.

Here are the coolers that will fit your case:

Do you mean NH-D9L?

Here are 2 examples using NH-C14S with same mounting orientation but different result because different motherboard.

An example with DRTF, good clearance. But its mounting hardware is a pain to work with.

They can fit in the case but needs to take off the side bracket.

Nope, nh-d12A

Singletower 120mm cooler with the capacity close to a nh-d15

Edit: nvm, dont mind me

Oh, that's the NH-U12A, it's a 158mm tall cooler, and bad value. No chance to use this one.

Well, you obviously know more about it than I do. Sorry I can't be of help. Perhaps someone else can. Did you check pcpartpicker and YouTube for actual builds in that case to see what other people used?
