Help me because I messed up while buying ram

Okay so I built a new ryzen pc 2 days ago with a kit of 8gb(2x4gb)2666mhz ballistix ram. But in games like BFV, GTA V etc RAM is bottlenecking me like hell. Stutters every 2 seconds. 7.3gb ram usage. I should have bought 16gb at start but I was trying to save some money. Now I want 8gb more ram but I have no clue what should I buy which will work with these rams. I am thinking about a single 8gb stick from Gskill or Corsair clocked at 2666mhz and maybe I can over clock all these 3 together upto 3000 mhz? I want to know what should I do at this point and which way would be best for me .

If you buy the same kit of RAM (2x4GB) again it wont be a problem. It should work just fine.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

Okay I will first see if I can return these rams (for not much loss) and then buy a 16gb kit. If not then I will just get 2 more of these.

Best thing would be to return the 8GB kit, and buy a new 3000-3200 mhz kit of 16GB RAM.

If that's not possible, buy another 8GB kit, identical to the first one.

Here are some optimizations you can do on your PC (if you have an SSD) to help with performance. Mainly, increasing the pagefile size. https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/support-software/SSD-optimization-in-Windows-10-964/

Thanks. I will try if I can sell these for good price.

Combining kits isn't ideal unless you have to.  Return if you can.

Also, if you plan to overclock you will do best with a 2x8GB kit and if you need capacity then a 2x16GB kit.  4xAnything will introduce difficulty.
