I did not know there was a R9 260x I thought it was only 270 to 290.

Why would he do that? The performance of a 650 ti boost and no Mantle? He mainly wants BF4, a game with an estimated 30% performance boost with Mantle...

And also, it IS just a rumor...

I know for a fact that a new card doesn't always mean better. But a new card always means adjusted pricing schemes. =))

Also the 30% estimate is with a higher end card with more processing power... Until real benchmarks come from other sources other than AMD we cant assume things being said are true. Heck AMD promised investors that thier new Kaveri Apu's with revolutionize games...

probably wont launch at his price range though. Id get a 260

If it follows the 650 ti boost pricing it wont, but if only follows the pricing scheme of the 650 or 650 ti he's in luck! :D

That's an interesting thing to say...

People are saying that the performance boost is more with high-end cards, while others are saying it is better with low-end cards.

So until we know, we cant say. But the performance boost advertised was 45%, so I factored in advertising bias to cut it down a bit.

Based on the unofficial 'Maxwell' GTX750 Ti figures I'd seen, it's slower than a GTX660 (future optimized drivers might help).....don't know pricing though. but if it's anything like any nVidia cards sold in my neck of the woods, it'd still be relatively expensive. I know of a guy who's selling new R9 270X for 175USD shipped......not a stock one at that, a PowerColor R9 270X PCS+ to be precise.

7850 or spend a bit more for an R9 270.

An overclocked 7850 can outperform an overclocked 650 TI boost and an overclocked GTX 660, that card is a little beast.

it will probably be a 660 with a slight upgrade not a 650 ti boost. Just a 15%+ performance gain though.

It looks like the 750ti will be worse than the GTX 660 and the 650 ti Boost based on current 'rumours'. I wouldn't bother waiting for a card with that sort of performance.

it may be slightly worse than the 660, but if its slower that the 650 ti boost, nvidia is crazy.
