New Browser Brave. Is it Safe?

Hay guys, i just come across a new browser which is called Brave... On their web page they are saying that

Quote

Brave is on a mission to fix the web by giving users a safer, faster and better browsing experience while growing support for content creators through a new attention-based ecosystem of rewards.

I just downloaded it and that is a chrome based browser... so what u think or know about this topic? also i should say that it's more faster than chrome and block ads an all sort of things too...

P.S

sorry for my English.

It's not bad, but lacking some things. I use Cent Browser (also based on Chrome) which is more complete, but it's removed all the Chrome tracking.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

i'm using Brave browser right now, seems alright. I like it because it's smart contract and blockchain based.

Brave is a fine browser, If you want a better. faster, lighter alternative with chromium then try out Edge Chromium Dev channel one. I'm using that currently as daily driver and Never going back to Gchrome or any other chromium browsers ever again. Give it a try, It's totally worth it.

I tried Brave om Desktop about a year ago and it was glitchy, not sure if that's the case (and this was on my parents windows computer if that made a difference); I do use it on Android and it works quite well though.

NO

Ever since the quantum update I've been loving it. FF doesn't really get noticed much but it's still a wonderful competitive browser.

No?

Nothing about the brave browser is Blockchain based except their BAT currency for supporting websites with donations.

And what do you mean smart contract?

Anyhow back to the original question is it safe. The answer is yes. Arguably more safe than Google Chrome out of the box because brave has certain extensions like privacy badger and HTTPS everywhere pre-installed. Not to mention their native adblocking implementation.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.
