Will my CPU bottleneck my GPU?

If the cpu does end up bottlenecking the gpu, is there another cpu I can upgrade to without switching out my motherboard? I'm on a budget :(.

My cpu's lga is 1151

 

CPU = Xeon e3-1225 (The original version, not like v6 or something)

GPU= Powercolor Red DevilRx 580 8GB

Your motherboard may support the i7 3770K, which is an option if your CPU bottlenecks your GPU.

Xeons are are not designed for this but to answer your question it will not bottleneck. As far as I know.

3770K only runs on LGA 1155, this board will not support anything older than Skylake(6th gen) if it's LGA 1151.

 

Although, OP's Xeon also runs on LGA 1155, disregard this part:

4 core Sandy bridge @3.4ghz?

 

In some new games it will bottleneck even an RX 580.

 

In others, not too bad.

prob. cooling issue then or some motherboard throttling
