Second RAM stick for Laptop

So I have an ASUS ROG GL704GW laptop which has an RTX 2070, i7 8750H and 16GB DDR4 2666MHz CL19. However, the RAM is single channel and this has bugged me since the day I bought it.

 

Should I consider an upgrade? I'm yet to determine whether the performance boost is worth around $100 for a new RAM stick of similar specs.
