2080 XC2 Ultra vs 2080 FTW

valvoa

Noticed this morning after purchasing the XC2 Ultra on sale that the FTW 2080 is on sale at Newegg for 779.99, 120 bucks off (+20 bucks rebate), about the same price I paid for the XC2 Ultra. Question is how much better of a card is it? It does indeed barely fit into my case (Meshify C) and this card would qualify for the step up 2080ti XC correct? Wondering if it's worth swapping out or just roll with the XC2 Ultra.

a 2080 performs like a 2080

if the 1-2% performance difference is worth it for you, then get it

otherwise a xc2 is fine

Well if you can cancel the order without much of a issue and then order the FTW3 then it might be worth it.

It's really up to you in the end, there really won't be that much of a difference between the two other than the cooling is better on the FTW3 and the higher binned chip and custom PCB.

The XC2 is already a very good card, not much of a gap between the two performance wise, both are excellent.

Most do 1950 to 2100 which is 5fps at most ?

Noth worth worrying about

but u could end up with either clocks on either card

if ur worried about 5 FPS it’s better to get a 2080ti evga black

He is talking about 2080's....

And the low end Black is a LOUD HOT underclocked 2080Ti and not worth it compared to the higher end models.

Not recommended for a 2080Ti, the reviews are not exactly great on that model at all, you get what you pay for.

Yes I know he is but if ur going to spend extra 120 on a “better 2080” may as well save for a low end 2080ti that’s Gona be 30 percent better

and the black is fine as long as you don’t oc the fuckigg tits off of it

Not really, they are clocked too low and don't boost as high as the other models, and then won't maintain the clocks because of the cooling, they run hot.

If getting a 2080Ti it's smarter to get a higher end card like one of the 3 slot models.

You can, but the facts are all over the internet everywhere.

Look if a rog strix pcb is 1000 currency

or The ftw3 which they are in the uk

and u can gget The 2080ti black for 1075

they even tho it’s underclocked and runs a bit warmer it’s still a lot better value it will still hold a minimum of 1900 on the core which will blitz any 2080

i miss read what op said and yes he should return his for tge better model if price is the same

If there isn't a huge difference the XC2 Ultra might work a bit better in the Meshify C, the FTW3 is a bit longer and won't have a ton of breathing room. Now if the performance was significant than I would swap it no question. I could always use the step up program within 3 months and get the XC 2080ti.
