Which RAM is better?

Obviously the DDR4-3000 CL15 kit is slightly faster.

Both of them should easily overclock to 3200MHz, so it doesn't really matter which kit you go for.

Don't make promises like that, if he gets a dud kit like i did, they won't OC far at all without loads of voltage or loose timings...

Corsair 8x2gb 3000mhz CL15 104€

My idea is to OC them to 3200mhz, which of that two is better for it? My mother and CPU is B450 Aorus Pro Ryzen 5 2600

From what i've researched and experimented with, you may be able to get 200+mhz but it will be at the sacrifice of latence the cas number at the end aka CL in most cases however you could get lucky....

I would suggest getting some ram rated for either the speed you want or higher with lower latency, AMD like fast low latency ram, so in your case i'd like to recommend it again. The best overclocking RAM is usually Samsung B die rated modules.

That is Cas Latency which affects quite a bit of stuff. so they're not the exact same, at all.

I'd do the cl15, clock it to 3400 cl16 if you can

Again, its not that simple, and we are talking about AMD which means memory overclocking isn't as easy/boring as intel overclocking.

and we're talking amd memory overclocking, which kinda hates odd timings...

Can't say i've noticed that in the stuff I have read? Got any confirmation? Seeing as you're claiming he can jump 400mhz with just 1 bump of CL yet i go 100mhz over my rated speeds and i need 3 bumps and a whole lot of voltage and thats on my intel system....

i mean, i run my ram at 3500 cl17 daily, while it was rated for 3200 cl16. but that's a intel system

if you look at some unstable ram questions around here, it generally got solved by going to a even timing

Have you read into DDR4 overclocking on AMD systems?

as far as odd timings, different memory controller on 1st and second gen, motherboard differences, 4 vs 2 sticks, things like that

yes

I prefer the Corsair Vengeance LPX. If you plan on installing a cooler like the Noctua NH-D15. That's Ram that's compatible with it.

Thank you all for answering, my mother board B450 Aorus Pro can handle 3200mhz, so Im buying the white 3000mhz CL15 and OC it to 3200 CL16 :D again thanks for the help, currently with shitty 2133mhz OC to 2400 memories and I think it will be a nice performance upgrade.

The above kit is better than the two you linked (3200MHz @ C16) and they are virtually the same price on Amazon ES.
