What is this plug?

I noticed this 'uspi1' plug when installing my m.2 drive. I tried googling a few things and couldn't turn up any results. Even looked in the manual PDF and usp, or i1 doesn't turn up any results. Nothing on the forum either.

 

Any ideas as to what plugs into this spot?

probably a factory BIOS flash point.

I agree with @dgsddfgdfhgs and @knightslugger, if there is no mention of it in the manual its probably some proprietary port for debugging or BIOS/firmware updates.

why no dark mode?

Awww no wonder I couldn't find it on the print, it jspi1 header is for internal debugging

Thats not even the same headed, that header you pointed to is a 14 pin. His is 12 pin.

It a physical connector for the SPI bus.  You can do all kinds of crazy things with this.

 

You can use it to add in SPI devices as SPI is an industry standard.  Some Raspberry Pi stuff is SPI based.

 

You can also use it to do things like flash the firmware of the board, or do manual configuration of things like PWM fan controllers.
