Cooler that fits LGA2011?

I think the title explains the question.

I only find coolers that fit 2011-3. Is that the same socket type?

Coolers are same for both, although do check on the type of mount. There are "square" and "long" ones. I think square is more common on stuff we see outside servers.

It will come with brackets and yes HSF coolers like Evo 212 or Noctua DH-15 will suffice.

The Evo 212 and NH-D15 are in totally different leagues. One is in the top 3 best air coolers money can buy, one is decent, but meh for the price they ask for it most of the time.

Hey Zando Bob, what should he get then ?  Perhaps the Be Quiet Dark.  We want to give him less noise and great cooling.

I have no idea since he hasn't said what CPU or mobo he has, if he's overclocking, what case he's running in, etc.

I know. It's a running joke with GN viewers...

3930K... Well a nice air cooler or a 240mm+ AIO would do you well. Which one to choose, depends on price, aesthetics, the case you have, etc. The D14/15, dark rock pro coolers that have been suggested so far are very good. So are most AIOs at least 240mm. Just depends on your specific scenario beyond that.
