MATX z370

Hey Guys,

 

Looking to build a new pc for the first time in a few years looking for a MATX z370 motherboard, it seems like there is basically only 3 options out there... Am I missing something? any recommendations on what to go with thanks!

9700k maybe an 8700k not 100% sure yet.

Why in particular do you need a mATX?You only have 24 pcie lanes

for the case size, also only going to have a graphics card and 1 m.2 drive.

IMO if you have a big case I would look at vertical mounting mods or a small watercooling loop as mATX motherboards offer no advantage over ATX ones and don't even look that good

Then EVGA's Z370 micro (might need BIOS update with Coffee Lake CPU) is your best bet. The problem with mATX is that options are limited, other than EVGA they are either terrible for overclocking i7 and i9 (EVGA Micro cant handle i9 well if you ask me) or stupid expensive like the Asus Maximus 11 Gene.
