Anyone noticed the anti-male outbursts of Linus in this latest video?

 

How many times does he say "dick move", equating negative behavior and deceit with masculinity. I know the culture is to blame for inculcating such vile anti-male expressions in everyday language based on male disposability, but come on man, think of what you say in the future!

Take it for what it's worth, I'm pretty sure you're smart enough to know that the phrase "dick move" doesn't imply hatred towards men. Words are but a tool in language to convey ideas. It's just coincidentally that society deems the word "dick" to refer to a nasty male, and "bitch" for females. If you take sentences for its 100% literal meaning, please just stop.

Oh so this is why people hate feminism.

People hate feminism because it is irrational, based entirely on false and cartoon-like premise of patriarchy which renders the entire thing nonsensical. And from that come the incessant demands for special privileges and rights at the expense of men. And male disposability is not an "ism", it's just a fact that existed as long as humans have.

I agree that the way people speak is completely different from the 90's or earlier. It's become more 'casual' and revolves around a lot slang.

Here in Australia, the 'C' word is used normally in sentences for heaps of people.

Well what you say, what you do and what you think are three entirely different things, mind you. So what one says, no matter how offensive or "dickish" it might be, is not a valid determining factor in how one acts towards another. We can live perfectly content in a society full of well-wishing but utterly rude and "dickish" people.

 

If you want to be politically active towards helping mens rights I'd suggest checking the divorce court proceedings in your area. In many places the courts automatically side with the mother with very little reasoning other than "she's the mother" and grant total veto power over visitation rights in some cases. Cases like this might need your dedication, though there has been advancement in this regard, thanks to political special interest groups consisting of men and women who only want whats best for the children AND the parents. These cases do deserve consideration, but so does equal pay for women - which is also evening out, in certain vocations. Also maternal and paternal leave is mui importante. Having both options can make it a lot easier for certain couples. We are a mighty progressive planet, aren't we?

 

Especially Japan! They're REAL progressive! In fact they spun the whole feminism thing around. Traditional marriages in Japan have decreased and so have relationships between men and women, mostly due to the fact that Japanese men are tired of being forced in to making families while disregarding their ambitions and wants. So there are very few relationships going on there... but a lot of people watch their words, what they say, how they say it, how they behave them selves, how they express them selves, and are VERY polite. So instead of lashing out in new cultural movements or political movements they just regress inwards and try to forget that either they sink them selves with a family or live a solemn lonely life without one. The suicide rate in Japan is VERY high.

 

The point is go look for real social problems in your immediate area instead of projecting them on to words, which again ties nothing to ones behavior against another. Yelling at someone does, cursing and barking at someone does, as well as whining, but again it's a matter of behavioral protocol and not Freudian slips during statements. And people must be allowed to express them selves, in any way shape of form. Anything else would be censorship - and I loathe censorship.
