If you don't care about aesthetics cable tie one or even two fans like this and you will see a massive improvement in temperatures for both cards, especially the suffocated top one:

I didnt think doing that whould help so much im now getting 80/85 degrees on the master card thanks

I have 2x EVGA GTX 1080 ti in sli.

Im new to sli and before i added the second card in i was getting 70 degrees underload but now the top card is getting 85/91 Degrees Underload.

The gpus are not far apart as i only have 2 pcie lanes on my mobo.

the case i have is a Meshify C with 3x 120mm fans intake and 240mm rad at the top and a 120mm fan at the back.

I have fans all on aggressive fan curves and still getting bad temps.

Any ideas on what I can do or are the temps safe i dont like going past 80 when using a single card but with sli im not sure what temps i should be looking for.

Also is there anyway or making the second card the master card?

Should have got blower cards. At they are better.

But getting the best airflow is the only thing you can do.

They should be fine at those temps for years if they aren’t msi cards.

Clock speeds will suffer but shouldn’t matter in sli. Doubt the cpu would keep up anyway.

Also, disabling sli and putting the monitor(s) in the bottom card would make it the master. Used to do it all the time with mine.

Is your PSU bottom mounted and pulling air from outside or from inside the case?

One unfortunate thing about radiators is that they tend to restrict exhaust airflow for components not being cooled by the radiator. My guess would be you're seeing a few degrees more from that. I'm sure there are plenty of people that will disagree with me but that's been my observation. Just keep in mind, you're using more than half of your total exhaust with a radiator so you may need to find a way to compensate for that.

Do you have any kind of overclock on the graphics cards?

If you don't mind more fan noise, you could get faster 120mm fans that will move more air. Otherwise, I might advise you to get a case that will run a side intake as well right over the graphics cards. That'll probably bring the temps down a good 5-10 degrees right there. Get this solved and you're probably going help your CPU temps as well (even if they're in a good temp range already)

Where do you live? is it air conditioned or does it tend to be hot?
