Why not use oil filters for mineral oil PCs?

Is there any reason why I've never seen anyone use an oil filter on a mineral oil PC? I'll admit I haven't seen too many mineral oil PCs, but it seems like a simple fix to one of the biggest mineral oil PC problems, dirt.

If it’s fully self-contained you probably shouldn’t need one, but it’s a good idea

Life @floofer said, every mineral oil system I've seen is sealed, hence the reason why everything going into it should be cleaned and anything that can be dissolved should be removed. But it'd be like putting a water filer in a loop, it's kindof pointless.

biggest problem for oil cooling is taking oil off your PC parts and its weight and size. Not dirt

And if the tank leaks you got a nasty mess to clean up lol
