Will my mother board work with both my storage components?

I have a MSI-X470GPLUS ATX AM4 motherboard. I also am ordering a ADATA- XPG SX6000 128 GB M.2-2280 SSD. I also want a hard drive to go along with it but I don’t know if the mother board will support both. Can someone please help?

If you ever want to be sure about compatibility with a spot check, use PCPartPicker.com. It has a compatibility filter.

If you a super technical answer, yes a typical hard drive will be fine because it uses the SATA interface which is standard, and your motherboard has several SATA ports. Your power supply will also have many SATA power cables to power it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Some boards won’t let you run SATA and NVMe together. It’s not supposed to be that way but I’ve seen several boards with that documented issue. No idea how to tell if your board is affected but you can always try it. I would say it’s not likely your board has that problem but it is possible. You certainly have the slots for both. I’d do it.

That's usually highlighted in your manual where NVMe usage disables a certain SATA port or two.
