Full/Mid Tower Case recommendation

Go to solution Solved by metroid112,

Okay guys, thanks all of you for the suggestions. I started looking into some mid tower cases and one of the mentions was the Lian Li PC-O11.

I ended up buying the Lian Li PC-O11 AIR RGB which I found to be highly praised everywhere, a really nice aesthetic. I had to buy a new dust filter as the included one seems to have some issues, but the case was on an offer (being cheaper than the default AIR and it included 3 extra fans).

Hello guys I'm looking for case recommendations that are strictly under $200, Full Tower. My preferred places to buy is Amazon or Newegg, I plan to ship it internationally (Uruguay), so weight can change the price significantly, not that I don't mind paying a few extra bucks if the case is that good.

As for the other components:

  • I have no GPU decided yet, I currently have a 1060 that I'm planning to keep until a new AMD or Nvidia series comes out.
  • I plan to get a i9-9900k and cool it with a NZXT X72 Kraken or similar 360mm radiator. I think this is the biggest requirement the case should support a 360mm radiator that's close enough to the CPU since the hose length is limited.
  • For the motherboard I'm planning for a Gigabyte Aorus series, probably Pro or higher (They're all ATX sized except for the high tier one that I don't plan on getting).
  • I already got a 2x16Gb DDR4-3000MHz G.Skill Ripjaws kit I got on an offer at Newegg.
  • Currently own 2 regular SSDs and 2 regular HDDs.

I was deciding on getting something like a Phanteks Enthoo Pro or Corsair 750D Airflow edition, but I'm open to suggestions. I don't really like RGB that much but if the case is good, I'm fine with it (as long as I can turn the lights off lmao).

I have a Corsair 780t and like it a lot. Good AF and easy to work on and cable manage.

Look at the Define R6, S2 and S2 Meshify,

Your point strikes home, that AIO cooler tubing can impact case options or placement.  I had to place my 360mm AIO on the top due to it having tubes too short for front mounting in R6.

Edit:  You may not need a full tower case.  Many mid-towers (and some smaller cases) can support a 360mm AIO.

Yeah I just edited the thread to match the mid tower point, I guess big is not always better :P. Even as I post here I'm continually looking at reviews and case recommendations and there are many mid tower cases that could fit the bill too.

Mid towers like the roughly $100 Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG, Coolermaster Mastercase H500 series, The above mentioned Fractal Design Cases, NZXT H700, Lian li PC-O11D just to name some of the best ;)

Tried and true classic with the Corsair 750D, and will have plenty of space in it to build.  If you want to go with something more current, I'd suggest looking into either the 500D or 678C.  Both are mid-towers which will give you a smaller overall footprint, but still have plenty of space inside.  Let me know if you have any questions about either case.

There are a lot of cases out there, tried a few, but I always come back to Corsair, been using their cases since IIRC the mid 90's.

Now you're obligated to post a bit of the finished build :)
