Macbook Software Upgrade

I have this old MacBook that I found when cleaning out a storage room, but I want to still use it. Is there a way to update the software or put Linux on it. It is the Powerbook G4 and the model number is a1085

Newest mac version is 10.5.8(i think)

 

You can run some linux distros that support powerpc(check for mac compatability, getting more and more rare these days as these systems are basically too slow for most day to day uses these days.

As long is it doesn't have the T2 chip in it, Linux or Windows all the way
