So, this happend a few months ago. When i play a youtube video it will load and play the video for about 2-3 mins then it stops, completely. And it refuses to continue loading until I skip the video, it's enough just to click it at the exact moment I'm on. It's like I must force it to start loading again. Doesn't matter if I skip the video 1 min or 1 sec. After the skip it loads fine, for about 2-3 min (timesvaries though, but it will always happen). And so the cycle continues. What is wrong here? Is it on my side or their side?

Just some information:

  • Only on Youtube, nowhere else.
  • Got average 16 Mbps down line about 5 Mbps up. It can handle 1080p. Wireless btw, and according to windows it has excellent signal.
  • It affects other devices, like my Sony Xperia tablet Z and Samsung S3
  • Cleaned out temp files and cookies with no luck.
  • Disabled all the add-ons for chrome no luck.
  • play/pause has no effect when this happens.

So there you have it, now I know this is a tricky one. But I really want this to go away, it is so annoying having to click several times on the screen on a 18 min video. Especially when I'm snuggled under a blanket.

(It's chilly in my room, very chilly)

This is just how a bug with how Youtube works now. Instead of downloading/buffering the whole video they only allow you to buffer a little bit at a time. This would be fine if their player wasn't complete garbage but unfortunately it is. I know Magic Actions has a workaround but it's decent at best.
