So I have a 3570K and a 7970. I was experiencing crashes during BF4 (total system crashes, not just the game) although it may be a failure of the video driver. In any case, the first problem was that the CPU cooler was mounted badly. a motherboard upgrade solved this. Now my CPU doesn't go over 60C load and my GPU doesn't go over 70. it can't be temp throttling, so I am led to believe it is drivers.

can anyone point me towards the correct AMD driver? I started having this problem when I moved to an SSD and installed 13.11 clean. (previously I had 13.9) I'm going to try a clean BF4 install and hopefully that will help.

Before you try a clean install, make sure nothing else is crashing your PC.  Also make sure that you have the right drivers (right windows version ect)  Make sure you have the prerequisites that are listed on AMD's site (net framework ect)  Personally I'm using 13.12 and its working fine on my 7970.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.
