Hi I'm currently doing a project for school about the American Dream.

If I could take a moment of you're time to answer some questions,

The Age Category are

1) 25-35

2) 36-45

3) 46-55

4) 56 and Older

Please tell me which category you fall under.

Then answer the following questions...

"Please define the 'American Dream.'"
"What does the 'American Dream' mean to you?"

These questions are for people who live in the U.S. if you do not live in the U.S. well... you're answer doesn't really count. ^_^ Thanks you in advance.

Can I still answer if I am younger than what you have?

yes ^_^

So I am 15 going on 16 this year. I would say that the "American Dream" is the pursuit of happiness that people say that they will find in America. This was in the "Golden Days" when people where getting bigger things and things along those lines. Now everything is getting harder to obtain because pricing and jobs. The "American Dream" could also be described as a person looking prosperity in America. This meant get rich and have fun doing it.

I'm 17 years old.

My definition of The American Dream is basically the ideal life for everyone.

My American Dream is basically to be able to live my life doing what I love, getting as much of an education as I can, and just living my life happily.

The American Dream: A couple of acres to live on, Some classic steel with a minimum of 400ci preferably blown with a dash of fog, a different gun to shoot every day of the month with loads of ammo, Steak every night, bitchin fast internet, an unholy monstrosity of a gaming rig, more games than I could ever hope to play and plenty of music to keep me company.

What it means to me: Not entirely sure beyond something that is most likely unattainable in it's ideal form. Small tidbits might be possible but the entire picture will always be out of the grasp of 98% of the people who have "The American Dream".

The American Dream is long dead. As Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel once sang:

"Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio, our nation turns its lonely eyes to you. . ."  - But Joltin’ Joe hadn’t gone away, the inspiration he imparted had faded from public consciousness. Suddenly, there was nothing to fill the void. What had become of the American dream?
