Motherboard backplates

In one video a while back, Linus spoke of how noone makes backplates for motherboards, and said something about making them or finding a way to make them. Does anyone know where a custom backplate could be bought from yet?  I took a Dell XPS 8910 and rehomed the guts into an aftermarket case to expand my build and use some different parts, but I don't have a backplate, as it was cut right into the XPS case. I would love to order a backplate to close up the back of my case.

You can always make your own backplate. People have been doing it with graphics cards for years.

As a last resort I can cut the plate out of the original Dell case and glue it into my new one, I was just hoping to not have to do that if I could avoid it.

Have fun customizing something to work with standoffs and the back-panel I/O cutout while leaving enough room for airflow. This is the kind of thing that would make for a great custom modded PC though.

Do you mean I/o shield or actual backplate? As only a few boards have ever had such a thing as a backplate.

I/O shield. The Dell case I pulled the parts out of had the cutouts directly in the case, instead of having a removable plate.
