Some help on a CPU cooler

Hi guys,

 

I currently am in need of a CPU air cooler if possible, the problem comes with my ram, I was fortunate enough to get some 

second hand dominator platinums with the light bar kit at a stupid low price and I pounced on them but as you can imagine they're 

killers to large cpu coolers.

 

I have a maximus VI formula board aswell

and my case is the phanteks primo meaning the height of the cooler is not an issue.

 

My conditions are simple and are listed by priority 

-Please find a CPU cooler that fits this rig

-Silence optimized

-if at all possible matching the aesthetics of a red and black theme

-under £80

What RAM are you using? If it is LP then the NH-D14. Also the Be Quite Dark Rock 2 Pro.

as long as you're not using high profile RAM there shouldn't be an issue. The Phanteks cooler has an adjustable fan mount, so it can accommodate for high profile to a degree (my ripjaws fit under there) The three I listed are all virtually interchangeable, pick whichever.

I believe you can remove the top part of the RAM, but meh.

OP what are you doing with that

I currently am saving up for a custom water cooling loop but its going to take some time I do realize that the case is meant to be WC guys  

And as I did put in my original comment I have unfortunately got tall Dominator Platinums
