Ram Compatibility

Currently I have 16gb of DDR4 2133 Mghz Ram, IF I wanted to get more ram, and I have the slots. ( Which I do ) Would I need the EXACT same ram model or could I mix and Match, say I have type A inserted right now, Could I add 16gb of type B to my system to increase myself to 32gb without any problems? or if I have type A do I need to add another set of Type A
