HELP !! 144hz not working with hdmi 2.0

Just bought a 1660ti and was wondering why my hdmi 2.0 isnt working with my 144hz monitor. I've tried going into the nividia control panel and everything. Ill put links of the parts i have if anyone can help.

because your monitor only does 1080p 60Hz through the HDMI port at most. Since your card doesnt have a DVI output you will need a somewhat expensive active DP to dual link DVI adapter.

I bought a dvi to display port but it must not be active

I know its active but its still not working even though the guy told me its active at the store

they only go one way too so DVI to DP wont work here either

compatibility of these active adapters are a big problem. Sometimes the adapter works on one monitor with this problem but not on another monitor (for example the BenQ XL2411)

that monitor doesn't allow 144hz through HDMI, trust me, I've tried with a RTX 2060

So what should I do ? What's a cheap alternative cause I rather buy a new monitor than pay for a 150$ adapter

nothing... I've traded that monitor for an ASUS VG248QE for display port support
