recycling old PC

Is there anywhere i can bring an old pc that I don't need any more? Its about 5 years old and barely boots so i cant sell it.

You could try selling it, since a lot of people hunt for broken PCs to test.

 

Donate it to a local non-profit?

anything but the bin. I used an app called letgo to sell locally and you can list goods for free, just have people come pick them up.

Your "old and barely booting" system most likely will be like new with a fresh install of OS and can benefit someone that doesn't have even that. If you are willing to put the effort try to find someone that deserves it.

At least here in Michigan the county has a hazardous waste drop off days. You basically take it to where they are doing it and they will take what ever your dropping off and make sure its disposed of properly.

My local dump has a electronics recycling center were you can drop off TV's and old computers for free.

Here we put unwanted stuff out on the curb and they're usually gone pretty quick.
