Which SSD is better?

I'm wanting to get a new ssd to replace my PNY sata ssd, since it's starting to show it's age and doesn't have enough space for my needs.

Out of these three: WD Blue 500gb, WD Black SN750 500gb & the Samsung 970 Evo 500gb, which would you get?

The price on the WD Blue is compelling, but I don't want something that'll crap out on me with my data on it.

For the price of the 970 EVO you could get a 1TB WD Blue. The WD Black is barely cheaper than a 1TB WD Blue, not worth it either.

 

SATA SSDs are just as good as NVMe in most tasks, like booting the OS for example. 

 

All 3 SSDs have high write endurance, so they should last a long while. The WD Blue is only cheap because its SATA rather than the fancy pants NVMe of the other two.

the main difference is that the wd blue is a sata 3 ssd built in the m.2 form factor, the other two are nvme drives. Who told you that?  Unless you're associating QLC-based SSDs like the 660p with them only (which is a new, cheaper SSD tech that almost all companies are doing a form of).  Intel has many non-QLC offerings (pretty much everything they've made for SSD that doesn't end in 'p').

 

Intel lead the SSD market before Samsung was cranking out mainstream SSD's like the 830 Evo.

nah, their SSDs are fine, you might be thinking of their optane drives which look great on paper but less spectacular in actual use
