Is my cpu cable from psu compatible with the cpu input on this certain mobo? And the gpu pcie cable, is it also compatible with the gpu?

Apologies, I accidentally missed your notification in my slew of notifications for your last quote.

From a gaming perspective, the 9700k cane be outdone by a lower core count higher clock speed CPU from Intel, but it's great for productivity, so you have to make that decision on your own. Ryzen is also a very enticing proposition for a workstation system that can still very respectably game. It may be even more enticing when Zen 2 coming 'soon'.

When it comes to power delivery, yes, you'll be able to properly configure your rig to supply power to your entire system, It's one of the benefits of fully modular PSU's, the connectivity you need without excess cable clutter.

I'd encourage you to reconsider your PSU. While the G3 isn't a bad unit, it can be bested with little effort

Find a balance of cost to tier from this list that fits your budget.

Is the use-case here going to be primarily gaming? Workstation and gaming? workstation? Something completely different?

PSU cable "size" isn't much of an issue in nearly all situations, unless you've got some extenuating or extravagant problem that needs to be resolved. Termination points are standardized (that is to say your motherboard will have the same connector pinouts as the motherboard side of your 24-pin coming from your PSU, same for your EPS and VGA/PCIe cables) and you're nearly always given more than enough cable length to reach your destination, even with cable management.

The Dark Power Pro is standardized in this fashion, so it should work just fine.
