Stuck at 60 FPS

Lockon1997

My GTX1080 is stuck at 60 fps and i dont know why. xbox DVR is turned off, Nvidia control panel is set to use application settings for vsync. is my monitor capable of going over 60fps? no i dont believe so. i have used this tv before with another graphics card and have gotten fps readout of well over 100fps. strictly want my framerates unlocked that  way i can see how well my system is aging. just need vsync off for proper benchmarks

How are you measuring framerate?

Have you set the monitor refresh rate under display settings?

i5 8600 - RX580 - Fractal Nano S - 1080p 144Hz

Have you replaced the GPU's recently?

Did you DDU in safe mode before installing the video card?

Not technically, the card could be defective

are drivers updated? What are your specs?

um was never given an indication of the card being faulty as of yet. has ran perfectly fine except for not playing anything at 60fps. doesnt matter the game either. drivers are up to date as well.

Did you check your game setting to make sure it isn’t capped in the game?

Not sure, but check the nvidia control panel thing (I don’t have nvidia so I am not sure what it’s called lol)

anywho, there should be a setting for either frame caps or vsync. Try going through and checking again if you have already, when all else fails you could try a reinstall of windows or reset to default in the nvidia control panel
