Best Choice ( For Mouse )

So I might be looking to replace my trusty Gigabyte M6900 to a slightly better one because of some double click issues and the surface of the mouse getting too oily when I use it .

I've narrowed down to a few choices in terms of the price and availability , what I need is just something with good build quality and is reliable.

Options :

Steelseries Rival

Corsair M40

Logitech G400s

Logitech G500s

Need some extra info which most reviewers don't say , or personal experience , or just some general info about the good/bad about those mouse.

With these mice, i'd say go with one of the Logitech mice. I am personally using a Mionix AVIOR 8200, but if you want one of those mice, go with Logitech - you pretty much can't go wrong with them.

I'm also using the DA, and it's been my fellow companion for 1,5 years now. Between the mouses, i would go for Logitech aswell.

I use the Corsair M60 and I am really happy with it.

Build quality is outstanding. The sensor is great (compared to my R.A.T 7).

From what I have seen the M40 looks pretty much the same.

Also the Logitech Mice look good, but I nver owned one.

I would say the finish on the M60 isn't the best for sweaty palm syndrome though, I find myself cleaning it more often.

Alright, I think I'm leaning towards the G400s now , but ( sorry if this is a newbie question ) does it have all the settings stored inside the mouse ? For example I can just plug into another system and use it on the go

The current setting is stored in the mouse, if it has onboard memory. Previous settings can be saved to the cloud :)

If you're located in the US, you can get the g500s for 38 bucks on amazon today only. It's basically the 400s with extra features. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. I personally really like my 6900 :D

Well that's too bad , I live like 10++ hours flight away from the us :(

Anyway , I love my 6900 too. When I first bought it , I had very low expectation , I mean look at the price . But I'm wrong , it has features of a mouse twice it's price , too bad the surface ( top and right ) are too glossy and even after cleaning it becomes a bit oily due to my sweat which can be very annoying , and double clicking issues too occasionally .

I haven't had any issues so far with the double clicking, but yeah, I got at microcenter for dirt cheap because why not and I was super surprised! The gloss kind of bugs me though D:

I'd get the Steelseries Rival if you have somewhat large hands, or average male size (19cm). If you have smaller hands than that, get the G400s.

G400s does not have onboard memory, so default settings cannot be overwritten without the software running.  You still get access to multiple DPI levels, etc, without software running, just no modifications to functionality (can't reassign a button to a keyboard keystroke, for example.)

Go with the Corsair Raptor M40 or the Razer Deathadder 2013, that are the two leaders when it comes to FPS gaming mice.

Don't forget the Steelseries Rival which just joined the party and took them all by storm! Basicly all Zowie mice, Logitech G400s etc. Don't see a lot of pros using the M40 compared to pros using the Zowie mice or Logitech mice.

did you try using masking tape? thats some great stuff to give a glossy surface grip (clean it before applying). thats atleast what i did with my mouse, wich isnt a 6900 and i just replace it from time to time to keep it clean. works for keyboards too :P
