Should I spend $200 to fix this laptop?

Should i spend around $200 for a new mobo and keyboard on a Lenovo y50p? 
(I got the laptop free btw)

(Take anything I say with a grain of salt)

[Main Pc] CPU, i5 9600k GPU, Asus Strix RTX 2060, RAM, 16b Team Group Delta RGB, PSU, Seasonic Px-750 plat , Cooler, Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite ML120L RGB, Storage, 500gb Samsung 950 evo/1tb WD blue/2tb HDD,Case, Enermax ECA3520. + some cooler master RGB fans

 

[Laptop] Dell G3, i7-8750H (Turbo 4.2 Ghz), Gtx 1050 ti , 8gb 2669 mhz, 128gb nvme ssd, 1tb HDD

 

[Server]

 

[Consoles] Pretty much almost every popular one you can think of besides for like Xbox and some Sega Stuff( Playstation especially)

 

[Mobile Devices] iPhone XR 64gb (Red) gb, iPad Air 2 128gb, Space Grey,  Ipod Shuffle Space Grey

@NerdBot2021 I know there a pain to work on (i doo it for a job) but i was thinking of using the laptop on a trip im going on bc i would rather have this stolen then my 09 MBP or my >$1000 laptop 

 

 

also i heard it can run some easer games (has a GTX 755m)

If you want to use it, and it has decent specs... that's your call.  $200 for a good performing laptop is pretty good.

 

I don't know what limited cooling has to do with repairing, but sure?

I don't see how your laptop will get stolen on a trip unless you are extremely careless with it.

Wouldn't be worth it if you have literally any other option. That is a really expensive fix for a laptop you can find used in good shape for 50-80 bucks.

You are talking about a laptop with a mobile GPU that gets outperformed by modern Intel integrated graphics. For 250 in my area I can get a fairly recent used laptop.

 

Look at your local markets. Shouldnt be too hard to find a gaming laptop from this generation under 100 bucks. Most of those Ebay listings wont sell. Look at recent completed listings and then half that value for local listings.
