Should these 2 RAM modules work in dual channel?

Go to solution Solved by NunoLava1998,

Looks to be the exact same voltage, frequency and latency so you're good to go

My laptop comes with this RAM module:

https://www.amazon.es/dp/B077K9XSBB/?coliid=I267Y5R741HP7E&colid=2W99QJ4TTQ7W0&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I want to upgrade to 16 GB RAM (I have one slot free), but the price for this specific module is absurd everywhere in Europe. My cheapest option for the exact same module is 78$ on Ebay. So I searched for cheaper options. Should this module work in dual channel with the one I already have?

https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B01BIWKP58/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

This one drops to 48€ as soon as I enter my address since I live in the Canary Islands and we pay no tax  whatsoever for any online order under 150€, also free shipping because Prime. Much much cheaper than the 78$ option. But will it work...?

This is my laptop btw: https://www.pccomponentes.com/hp-pavilion-15-bc450ns-intel-core-i5-8300h-8gb-1tb-128gb-ssd-gtx-1050-156

Thanks.

  • 2 weeks later...

Update: I installed the module and yes, dual channel is working! Massive improvement in performance in CPU-bound scenarios. Thanks!
