Workstation Laptop

So I am thinking about getting a laptop for engineering applications, modelling and simulations. Programs used include MIDAS GTS NX, ANSYS, Solidworks and some more. Types of analysis are nonlinear static and dynamic time history analysis. 

 

So I was looking at this laptop and it caught my attention. Anyone has used it? Do you recommend it? How good is it for my workload?

definitely good hardware. attractive price too.

Yes, I couldn't find any better deal than this. But also, I can't find any reviews that could tell me more about the performance and temperatures.

it seems to share GE63's chassis, which has more reviews. Check the 1050ti variant instead

Not a true mobile workstation, gaming laptop rebrand

 

If you need Quadro, Thinkpad P52/P72, Precision 7530/7730 and Zbook 15/17 G5 (the most expensive) are good choices
