Im looking to upgrade my pc from a 1050ti to something better. Ive found a gtx 970 for about 105$ + shipping and a gtx 780 for about 65$.

I honestly don't recommend upgrading from a 1050 Ti to a 970 or 780. The performance bump is not significant enough.

I suggest you either wait until new graphics cards are released and the price for older cards drops, or you save up some more money for a used 980 Ti.

How about neither and keep saving for a GTX 1660 Ti?

It's really not wise 'downgrade' from Pascal back to either Kepler or Maxwell, in fact Kepler cards is soon to be dropped from Official driver support.

A good ,really good, 780 can get close to the performance of a 1060, similarly a 970 can do the same.

That said, a jump from a 1050ti to a 1060 isnt worth it.

I'd save up for a 1660ti/1070/980ti

Forget about the 700 series, if I have finaly moved on (bought a 1080ti this week), then for damn sure no1 else should be thinking of 'upgrading' to a 700 series lol, im usualy the last to upgrade, having pushed a card to its limits to hold on.

I recommend saving up and going forward, rather than going back, unless you have some dire need to have performance improvements right now.

Well i purchased my 1050ti like 1 month ago cuz i wanted to upgrade from an hd7850. But im a bit sad with the performance of the 1050ti. I thought it would give more than it really does. And in some games like destiny 2 i get shit fps, and it cant keep up with my 75hz screen. so basically it drops below 75 and it gets really choppy

EDIT: and im thinking of selling my 1050ti to my little brother for around 105-115$

Oh theres a difference for sure, but no matter the price of the card, unless ur getting it for free, ur betetr of saving up a little more and getting somthing far better.

Well i dont really want a big bottleneck either. I currently got an ryzen 3 2200g and i thought an 970 would be good for it since it supposidly gets around 7% of a bottleneck

And for another $50-$100, assuming you were willing to plop down the $100 for the 970, you can get something that's vastly better like an RX 590 or a GTX 1660 Ti

That really doesn't mean any thing since CPU bottlenecking depends on the game and game settings.

Userbenchmark is too general, don't rely on it.

Bottleneck calculator is also bogus, not useful either.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Neither. 780 is basically a sidegrade from a 1050ti, where 970 is probably around 30% faster. I wouldn't bother with either.
