Which laptop?

Disregarding price, Which spec should I go for, Bearing in mind I want maximum future proofing. 

 

1)

i7-7700HQ 

1050ti 

16GB RAM

 

2)

i5-7300HQ 

1060 6GB 

16GB Ram.

depends on what you're doing.

if you work with that laptop, i suggest the 1st one, more threads. gaming performance is okay for a laptop.

but if you also game alot, the second one is much better.

Gaming, Thats it. 

 

I know the GPU is alot better im just worried about the cpu becoming outdated, But there again, CPUs do last alot longer, Heck, A family members laptop from 2012 with a i7 is still very powerful on the CPU end. Minus the gt 630, Lol.

It's already outdated.

Today, i5 cpus are having 4 cores and 8 threads, just like i7 in the past gen.

With the pressure from amd having more cores, i think we will see even more cores in the future.

but gaming doesn't need more than 4 cores, at least for another 2-3 years.
