W10 Realtek Audio Lag

At Christmas I built myself a new PC, with the following 

  • i5 8600K
  • MPG Z390I GAMING EDGE AC
  • GTX 1070
     

I've noticed that when running with the inbuilt soundcard, over time ( few minutes) I get a very noticeable sound to video lag.

I've tried with the recommended drivers from MSI's website, and the suggestion i've seen floating around with using the HD audio device driver, and neither seems to help

 

This isn't a problem with either a USB headset, or a bluetooth headset, only with the inbuilt sound card.

I'm getting very frustrated with this, does anyone have any suggestions?

by lag do you mean the audio is slower than whats one the screen?

are you running your game on TV?

what game do you play? download csgo and test it to make sure isnt an individual game issue.

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!
