HI guys. I'm a newbie and I'm planning to build my first pc. Does Msi X470 mobo have forwards compatibility?

Yes, just will require a BIOS update to fully support newly released CPUs on the AM4 socket.

Yes, it will support upcomming CPUs.

 

Just remember to update the BIOS to the newest revision before swapping as that is needed to swap CPUs launched after the mobo.

All AM4 mobos.

 

Though some should be avoided because of bad VRM. 

 

Bazooka is pretty good in terms of VRM. And the x470 gaming plus is excellent in terms of VRM

Nobody can really say at this point.

 

But it should be pretty likely, especially for very common higher end products.
